Point-of-Rental® Systems, Inc., the leader in rental and inventory management software, saw a record high attendance of approximately 150 people at its annual International Conference, held October 15-17, 2014.
With attendance nearly doubling from last year, Point-of-Rental moved the conference location from its Grand Prairie offices to the Sheraton in downtown Dallas. At the conference, attendees had the opportunity to explore and taste the downtown Dallas culture as well as participate in classes, evening events, and network with other rental industry professionals.
Robert Copley, Director of Facilities and Finance at Event Essentials wrote, “I would recommend this conference to anyone! It is very informative and a great way to learn new shortcuts and techniques from your peers.”
Out of 17 specialized classes, attendees selected those that best fit their unique needs. In addition to trainings, attendees were presented with valuable rental industry information from sponsor presentations and a Rental Advisory Panel. Point-of-Rental introduced the Rental Advisory Panel this year, which consisted of seven industry experts who offered rental insights and answered questions from the audience.
To give attendees a chance to unwind after a long day of trainings, presentations, and roundtables, Point-of-Rental coordinated dinner and a private tour for everyone at the famous JFK Museum in Dallas. This museum chronicles the assassination and legacy of President John F. Kennedy from the infamous spot where the events of that day took place more than 50 years ago. Another evening of food and karaoke was also coordinated at one of the popular sports bars within the hotel.
At the conclusion of the conference, attendees were able to suggest and discuss software update ideas and order additional services from sponsor booths. Sponsors for the conference included TSO Mobile, USI Affinity Rental Specialties, In-A-Bind, ClearView Financial, Harland Technology Services, VeriFone, and Latino & Associates, P.C.
