FORT WORTH, Texas — Four days, dozens of live webinars, and several volunteer projects after it started, Point of Rental’s 2020 virtual International Conference has come to a close.
Nearly 1,200 rental professionals from throughout the world attended the company’s first-ever virtual conference, where they were able to watch more than 250 training videos created to guide users through each Point of Rental product.
“2020 has been all about adapting,” said Point of Rental CEO Wayne Harris. “Fortunately, being able to have a virtual conference allowed us to still share a sense of community with the rental – or hire – world for a few days. I don’t think it’s possible to replace face-to-face interaction, but being able to empower nearly 1,000 more people than we’re able to handle in-person was wonderful.”
The virtual attendees were able to check out live webinars and guest panels, participate in focus groups designed to help the company understand how best to support emerging rental processes, and network with one another privately and in conference-only forums.
“I loved that it was virtual. I’ve never been to the real conference in all the years we have had Point of Rental, so this year was a real win for me!” said Lacey Wright of Celebrations! Party Rentals. “Thank you for providing such a great opportunity to learn and connect.”
Point of Rental employees and users also spent more than 250 documented hours performing various services throughout their communities. They stocked food pantries, taught children to garden and bake, delivered PPE to remote communities, and landscaped a widow’s backyard, among other things.
Point of Rental’s next International Conference is currently scheduled for early 2022. Learn more about (or register for) the International Conference at pointofrental.com/conference.
